ClustrMaps is a people search, company search, and address search website. They have over 200 million people listings and 23 million business listings. Some of the information that Clustrmaps may have about you includes address history, phone numbers, email addresses, known associates/relatives, education/employment history, and more.
In addition to providing access to consumer info through its people search functionality, ClustrMaps also leverages this info to provide data intel tools to websites and companies. This includes detailed website visitor data, audience geolocation heatmaps, and visitor behavior. They provide this information through a free widget that companies can install on their site. A step-by-step guide to ClustrMaps opt-out
If you prefer to handle the removal yourself, you can manually take down your info by following these steps:
1. Go to to clustrmaps.com and select the “People” tab
2. Type in your first and last names into the search bar and click on “Find.”
3. In the search bar that appears below the map, enter the name of the state you live in
4. Enter your city to refine the search
5. Look for the profile that matches your information and select it
6. Select the URL which is connected to your listing and copy it to open this page on another tab.
7. Scroll to the footer of the homepage and click the “Remove My Info” link.
8. You will be directed to a Removal Request. Enter your full name, email address, URL listing, and address in the listing. Click on “Next Step.”
9. You will find all the information that ClustrMaps has stored about you. Select the information you want to remove and click on “Apply.” This will submit your request for the ClustrMaps opt out.
10. Your information will be removed completely.
It can take a few days for the info to disappear entirely from Clustrmaps. Take a look after a few days to make sure that it was taken down. If you still see the info up, follow the process again to submit another opt out request. Keep in mind that this process only removes your info from Clustrmaps – there are dozens of other sites sharing your info.
