How Does My Social Stream Work?
You have the option of publishing a Social Stream page on your BrandYourself profile (here’s an example).
Why is your Social Stream page important?
Your Social Stream page will keep your profile updated and relevant to search engines by automatically displaying posts from your other social media profiles like YouTube or Tumblr. This is a very powerful way to help your profile rank higher in Google, because it shows search engines that your profile is constantly being updated with relevant content.
Which profiles can I add to my Social Stream page?
- YouTube
- Tumblr
- Vimeo
- Flickr
Which profiles can’t I add to my Social Stream page?
Because of rapidly changing API rules set by other companies, we currently don’t support:
- Google+
- Any others not listed above
I connected my YouTube/Tumblr/Vimeo but posts aren’t showing up!
- First check your privacy settings on those accounts – your posts need to be fully open to the public to appear on your Social Stream page
- Once you’ve updated your privacy settings, refresh your Social Stream page and see your posts appear there
