Effective Immediately-How to Prepare for Your Entry Level Job

College prepares us for a lot of things. How to live on a tight budget, clean vomit out of a rug, rig up a beer pong table using everyday household items like MacGyver, oh, and even perform feats of math with no apparent real world applications and other questionably useful academic niceties.

If you’re fortunate enough to be able to go work for Daddy Co. after graduation, this isn’t really a problem. Party on. However, if you are like most kids, you’ll be graduating into a corporate hierarchy in which you are an unknown, unproven, assumed-to-be-worthless entity. Not an enviable position by any standards.

Fortunately, there is a solution to this issue, and it comes in paperback form courtesy of co-authors Skip Lineberg and Emily Bennington.

To maximize your personal brand equity, you must be 100% intentional about the image you project. If you want to accelerate your success, focus on being consistent across all forums… from real world interactions to virtual world posts. In today’s connected world, the boundaries between work and personal are blurred to a greater extent than ever before.
